Hello,

I have following configuration.

VM Workstation 8.03 running on Windows 7 x64

Guest OS Windows XP 32.

Are there any tweaks that would make this a better marriage?

Prior to W7-64; Workstation was hosted on a Windows XP, never had any issues. Since the W7-64, the guest OS typically freezes about twice a week and I'm unable to shutdown cleanly.  I'll run the usual vmware-vdiskmanager -R and -e.  The -R does solve the corrupted chain.  I'm able to run the VM once again, until it freezes.  This may take several successful startups and shutdowns before it freaks again.

I've recently made a copy and attempting to run from a different volume just for giggles.

I've attached the most recent successful Startup - Shutdown log to see if anything jumps out as an obvious to do.

Thank You

Brad
