Burning to optical media for use with a Virtual Machine is somewhat senseless as it's a waste of media much less time in that it takes longer in all respects compared to creating and installing from an ISO Image. Personally I use ISO Images even when installing on Physical Machines as I have an ISO Image on a file server of every software optical disc I have and it's faster and easier installing across the network then from physical optical media. Anyway back to the virtual side of things I have a Service available from a context menu where I right-click a file or folder and it automatically creates an ISO Image of what was selected which I can then attach to any given Virtual Machine.
