thanks,

i'm trying to comapre my appliction performance when i'm using a virtual database to the regular physical database.

the test was done by installing two lab enviorments, one with a physical database and the other is with a virtual database.

i created load on both envirments and i want to check whether the virtual database makes my application run slower ( it seems slower but not by much)

i think that the reason that the virtual database is running a bit slower has somthing to do with the storage and this is why i'm trying to check what is the storage overhead.

i'm using the same storage for both enviorment ( same storage array, disk size, raid type etc.), this is why i dont think that checking the device latency would be helpfull.

do you think is it possible that the storage is creating a little bottleneck that make it a bit slower? i'm seeing a big changes in the storage metrics in windows perfmon?
