NAT is the only selection that has "sort of" worked. Even the Custom route gives me a no connection reading.
This morning, when I ran the Network Diagnostics, it showed the following warning: "Could not get proxy settings via the Automatic Proxy Configuration mechanism." It also noted that there is a DNS error.
This is out of my realm of expertise.
