Hi,
I have several virtual machines with programs that need to connect to Sql Server 2008. I have only one Slq Server 2008 on the host computer. It works fine if the host machine is connected (ie. either LAN or Wifi).
However many times I can't be connected to a network, but I have to use Sql Server. As the only network card still showing an IP addresse is VMnet1 and VMnet8, I tried to use NAT instead of "bridge". Then I use the host VMnet8 address (192.168.150.1) to connect to sql server, without any success. I can ping this IP from the vmware client computer, but it seems that Vmware virtual network does not properly handle protocols handling needed to connect to sql server (authentication ...).
Is there a way to handle this?
Regards,
TB
